Reactions allow you to trigger actions based on events as they come into Service Canary. Each reaction defines the events it matches and the actions it will take. Currently the following actions are supported:
- Send alerts:
- Push events to one or more outputs such as email, Slack or a webhook. This allows Service Canary to be directly integrated with other systems and react in realtime to server events.
- Create issues:
- Turn events into issues that appear in the Service Canary dashboard. These events will then remain there until “resolved” via the UI or the API. This action is often combined with sending alerts.
- Ignores matching events such that they never appear within Service Canary. This is useful for events picked by by canaryd that you have no interest in.
